I readย ๐โ๐๐๐๐ค๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ย by C. Rochelle. The Wings of Darkness + Light series is based on the premise “What if Angels and Demons walked among us, and actually interacted with humans?” I knew that. I knew it would have lots of angelic and demonic characters. Everything else was a surprise, though.
C. Rochelle did a masterful job of weaving Christian mythology into her world, challenging the known ideas of good and bad. As Syd builds a harem completely ignoring their species, we see more and more that both evil and good can live in all beings. That it’s our choices that make us who we are, not where we came from.
I got to the end and immediately went and grabbed the second book. I would have grabbed the third, except for the fact that apparently I have too many KU books out and had to return the first in order to get the second. ๐
